PilotTrain exists because Jonty found the theory exams harder than they needed to be. Not the content — the way it was taught. So he built the thing he’d wanted while studying: practice exams that explain why an answer is right, rather than just marking it wrong and moving on.
He also serves as an editor for Aviation Theory Centre, helping maintain the accuracy and clarity of the manuals used by flight schools and pilots across Australia.
Jonty remains actively involved in the industry, and holds to a simple view: strong theoretical foundations aren’t just about passing a licence test. They’re what makes a safe pilot.
